Remaining covert for the first 60 days of 2013, Stealth appears from the shadows with ‘This Is True’; the first release on the label from Rene Amesz since early 2011.  A Stealth veteran, Rene describes his music as ‘Funky, sexy, and ass-shaking’ and this EP is a reflection of how much his production style has matured over the years.  Along with the title track, the EP also contains the originals ‘Want’ and ‘Bap’ which completes the trifecta of groovy tech house.

Tribality isn’t a word, but in the instance of ‘This Is True’, it should be.  With funked-out bass plucks to accompany the meticulously designed arrangement, only those who aren’t too busy dancing will be distracted with deciphering the back-up vocal chops’ sample origination.

Highlights from ‘Want’ are far from few, including a breakdown reminiscent of the organ styling’s of ‘60’s keyboard players whose sole tutor was hallucinogens, use of sub bass arrangements that will only truly be appreciated once experienced in a room with padded walls, and drum fills scheduled for one bar breathers for all those panting who refuse to take a dance break. This is one for ‘those who know…’

Utilizing all of the requirements of a technical slow builder, ‘Bap’ takes its time in all the right places, and lets length do all the work. With kicks, drums, and bass all intended to be felt as much as heard, only the atmospheres and sharp chopped vocal stabs will remove the pressure intensity aimed directly at your chest.

‘This Is True’ is available from Stealth exclusively at Beatport on March 4th 2013, and all other reputable retailers on March 18th 2013.
