It was in Rotterdam that Baggi Begovic first discovered house music at the ripe age of 15, while working at the Barocco disco. After collecting glasses every night as a bar back, one day he was finally invited to play a set. From there the ball started rolling. Baggi started building relationships with some of the biggest names in the biz, such as Roger Sanchez, Erick Morillo, and Deep Dish, just to name a few.

What helps to create Baggi’s signature sound is his refusal to be pigeonholed to one genre of music.

“I don’t use a different name for different styles. I’m Baggi Begovic and I like it all.”

Truer words couldn’t be spoken, and Baggi’s upcoming EP on Stealth shows his range within many of house’s different sub-genres. He has the ability to reach all corners of dance music: from bouncy house to peak time disco bangers, which is apparent on Discotech EP 2.

The first track on the EP, “Give It 2 Me”, is pure feel-good disco-house. With a catchy vocal hook that loops into a groovy buildup, it’ll be inevitable for you to keep from nodding your head once this track drops. This is the type of song that’s meant to be played during the heat of day at a banging pool party, keeping the mood high.

Next up, “Rampage” is pure tech house. The track has a dirty bassline that is made for those all night parties in Ibiza. Baggi still manages to keep his signature bouncy sound in this one, while getting into a bit deeper vibes.

Lastly, the track “Watch It” is a club ready house banger. It has a jacking beat and an upbeat vocal loop that’s meant to be played at peak time of the night. The epic buildup breaks down with a drumbeat that makes the track feel summer ready.
