Last weekend, House4DJ checked out a massive event at one of the world’s greatest nightclubs, Pacha NYC! Headlining the night was electro house titan Sidney Samson, as well as a special birthday celebration and opening set from the Made In Brazil DJ/producer Marcos Carnaval! There was also a surprise closing set from the Australian duo Feenixpawl, and a special live set from singer Eva Simons! Amazing!
Warming up the night was the birthday boy Marcos Carnaval, who played an incredible and proper opening set of straight house. The crowd moved along to a funky mash-up using Axwell’s Watch The Sunrise acapella, as well as later dropping the late Peter Rauhofer’s Real Bitch. Marcos Carnaval had everyone fired up by the end of his set, spicing it up with tracks like Biggi’s Hey.
Pacha NYC, known for pulling out all the stops especially when it comes to birthday parties, had surprises in store like acrobat dancers, confetti cannons, extra strobe lights and lasers, and even live singing from a big dance vocalist. When Sidney Samson took to the booth, the big room exploded and the energy was brought to a insanely high level as electro bombs started blasting through the system like Oliver Heldens’ Stinger and Martin Garrix’s Animals.
Sidney Samson dropped live mash-ups and edits of pop and electro that wowed the crowd all night, like Daft Punk’s One More Time with Sandro Silva & Quintino’s Epic, as well as Showtek & Justin Prime’s Cannonball with Rihanna’s We Found Love vocal, and Basto’s I Rave You with Kings Of Leon’s Sex On Fire vocal. Samson also switched it up throughout the night with trap!
Dance music vocalist Eva Simons, best known for her work on Afrojack’s Take Over Control and the Zedd produced I Don’t Like You. Eva Simons had the crowd screaming along to her live version of Take Over Control during Samson’s set, and she stuck around throughout the night to hype up the crowd as an emcee. Samson kept the crowd moving with some of the hottest current electro tracks like Knife Party’s LRAD and Sander van Doorn’s Joyenergizer, as well as his own tracks like The World Is Yours and his remix to Leah LaBelle’s Lolita.
The night was far from over, as around 4am Pacha NYC gave the crowd another special treat – a surprise set from the progressive house duo Feenixpawl! Opening their set with an amazing intro mash-up of their remix to The Alan Parson’s Project’s Sirius with Florence and the Machine’s Spectrum acapella, the dance floor went insane and the party got turned up! Feenixpawl kept it fresh with bombs like Alesso’s Raise Your Head mashed up with Dimitri Vegas, Moguai, & Like Mike’s Mammoth, and a mash-up GTA, Henrix, & Digital Lab’s Hit It! with Zedd’s Clarity vocal. The Australian duo also had the crowd screaming to their massive track In My Mind, as well as other Axtone family records like Axwell’s Center Of The Universe and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s Wakanda.
After a massive electro set from Sidney Samson, special birthday surprises for Marcos Carnaval, and special guest appearances from Feenixpawl and Eva Simons, there was no question that this unforgettable night would be one for the record books! Pacha NYC always knows how to outdo themselves and make it a one of a kind experience for their fans and DJs alike!
