Skrillex Wins Big At The 54th Grammy Awards

Skrillex, nominated for 5 Grammy Awards, has gone home with 3 of them: Best Dance Recording, Best Dance/Electronica Album, and Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical. Skrillex won Best Dance Recording for the track that made him famous, Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites, beating out such other EDM heavyweights’ tracks like Deadmau5’s Raise Your Weapon and Swedish House Mafia’s Save The World. The Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites EP also gave Skrillex the Best Dance/Electronica Album, winning against Deadmau5’s 4×4=12 and David Guetta’s Nothing But The Beat. Last but not least, Skrillex’s huge remix that everyone knows of Benny Benassi’s Cinema beat Deadmau5’s remix of the Foo Fighters song called RopeSkrillex’s good friend Deadmau5, who was beaten by Skrillex in every category, had the last laugh by wearing Skrillex’s phone number across his shirt during the awards show. Although Skrillex lost the Grammys for Best New Artist and Best Short Form Music Video, 3 wins were a huge success for this young producer! Congratulations Skrillex!
