This Saturday, house legend Robbie Rivera hits Governors Island with Juicy Beach New York! Featuring support from promising young talent Sick Individuals, Paris & Simo, Jus Jack, Paige, and Mysto and Pizzi, Juicy Beach on Governors Island, NYC’s hottest summer venue, is a party not to be missed! House4DJ had a chance to chat with Robbie Rivera about Juicy Beach on the Governors Island party – check it out!
House4DJ: Hey Robbie! How does it feel to be back in New York City, especially at a summer festival setting like Governors Island?
Robbie Rivera: It feels great. Last year’s Juicy event was amazing. I expect Saturday to be bigger and better!
H4DJ: The line-up for Juicy Beach on Governors Island this weekend features some very young and talented upcoming DJs/producers. As a veteran DJ/producer, what caught your attention with some of these acts like Sick Individuals and Paris & Simo?
Rivera: I like Sick Individuals’ grooves and drums a lot. Paris & Simo also produce heavy bangers with melodic breakdowns which I also support!
H4DJ: After bringing Juicy Beach to Governors Island last year, what else can we expect to see at Juicy Beach at Governors Island this year? Are any surprises in store?
Rivera: More more more people and now with Pacha involved, we will have that NYC crowd that loves the Juicy sound.
H4DJ: We’ve seen several hot collaborations from you this summer with guys like Antoine Clamaran, Dero, and Hot Mouth. Are there any other upcoming collaborations you can tell us about?
Rivera: I have a new track with Italian producer Alex Guesta called Drumz. This is pure NYC tribal anthem! It should do very well at Governors.
H4DJ: What else can we look forward to from you this year? Any news for the Fall?
Rivera: I am launching my next big vocal track with a new wave/electro band from NYC and Puerto Rico called The EKG’s. The track is called What To Do Now. I think this one is gonna be a big one!
