[News] Rest in Peace, Steve

While Steve Jobs founded the Apple Company in his garage with his friends Ron Wayne and Steve Wozniak, he wasn’t expecting at all what service he was providing to the communication industry, but also to the music business. Starting his own company with only a few dollars (500$ to be precise), he became millionaire only four years later. His product didn’t differ only by the simplicity it was offering, but even more by it’s design. In fact, that has always been and always will be the commercial mark of Apple.

Seven years after the foundation of the Apple Company, Steve Jobs had hired John Sculley from Pepsi and says this famous quote:” “Do you want to sell sugar water for the rest of your life, or do you want to come with me and change the world?” Then, a year later, with this collaboration, the first MacIntosh was born and launched on the market. The objectives were clear to them: Help the consumers to get affordable home computers, but also to help out the press and the whole communication world by introducing simpler computers.

However, he was fired from his own company in 1985 by the man he has hired two years ago, John Sculley, and then founded neXT, a computer platform development company specializing in the higher-education levels and business markets. He also contributes during this period of time to the innovation of Pixar and helped the creation of many classic movies such as Toys Story.

Nevertheless, his heart was obviously with Apple. In difficulty, Apple borrows $ 150 million to Microsoft to buy the platform founded by none other than Steve Jobs. NeXT has then been bought for $ 400 million and is now merged with Apple. This is how the Mac OS X has seen the light. Then, in 2000, during the MacWorld, he announces he was back to his previous functions. That was finally the brand new start Apple was looking for. Releasing the iPod in 2001 (So comes iTunes), the iPhone in 2007 and the iPad in 2010, Apple’s getting notoriety they are having now and became a must company.

The music scene has to give credit to Jobs. Almost every DJ’s mixing and producing with Apple products right now. In addition, we would not be in the ability to enjoy as much music that easily if he had not been there.

Beside the historic part of Steve’s life, this man is an inspiration. He might not only be an inspiration for some, but an inspiration for all. Having a dream life by living his dream, this man has purely changed the world through those creations and ideas. We can’t be more grateful to him. Simple, humble, this man will never be forgotten.

Here’s an inspirational speech Steve has done in 2005. It worth the listen guys.

“No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don’t want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life’s change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. “

Ironically, I really hope that a majority of the ones who are reading this article are doing it on one of his revolutionary ideas.

God bless you, Steve. Rest in Peace.
