Is Deadmau5 Pulling A SHM?

Last year, we saw a breakthrough in the EDM scene during the Winter Music Conference, when Swedish House Mafia broke out from Ultra Music Festival and started their own event called The Masquerade Motel. They had a lineup separate from other events, a huge tent which also featured an amazing light show and perfect quality sound, with artists like A-trak,  Armand Van Helden, Calvin Harris, Dirty South, Pete Tong, An21 & Max Vangeli, and more. Competing with the second day of Ultra Festival was a risky move, but it was something the trio was willing to make. With a little help from their friends the event was a success, having a sold out crowd with people selling their festival tickets so they can see the group perform instead. But why? It was discovered that the group was offered to play at the festival but when Ultra presented them with a exclusivity contract which states that any artist who performs at Ultra cannot perform anywhere else in Miami during the entire weekend, the group decided to say screw the festival and do their own show. Now we see a video of a major player in the dance scene, Deadmau5, talking about Ultra and other North American festivals. In the video below you will see him mention what he thinks about North American Festivals including Ultra and Electric Daisy Carnival. He also mentions Daft Punk, and how he has high respect for the duo for staying away from dance festivals that are run by “children.” With  Joel Zimmerman’s Meowingtons Hax tour in conclusion, and the Phase 1 of the Ultra lineup announced, what do you guys think will be next in 2012 for the Canadian?
