This past weekend, House4DJ was able to attend Dirty South’s The City Of Dreams Tour at the Roseland Ballroom stop in New York City! The shows at Roseland Ballroom are known for their top notch sound and lighting systems, as well theatrics: CO2 cannons, dancers, costumes, and acrobats, to name a few. As expected, The City Of Dreams Tour had all of these and more, and gave way to an amazing night of music with Dirty South and supporting acts Mord Fustang, Gregori Klosman, and Tyler Sherritt.
Upcoming talent Tyler Sherritt kicked off the night with some hot tech/electro/progressive house bangers, ranging from tracks like Koen Groeneveld’s Ditsjz (2012 Remix) and Plastik Funk’s Who, to Chris Lake’s NYC. Sherritt also dropped his original mix Wonders, and as always, the crowd went wild.

Up next was the French producer Gregori Klosman, who put on a show with his high energy and ability to amp the crowd up. Dropping bombs like his new collaboration with Polina called Together, and bangers like Zedd’s Spectrum, really got the party started. Our personal favorite track Klosman dropped – his original mix Minibar.

Mord Fustang blew our minds with a variety of everything, ranging from dubstep and electro to tech house. Dropping a variety of original mixes like Lick The Rainbow, as well as several IDs, kept the crowd moving for his entire 90 minute set, all the while costumed dancers were scattered around the venue waving giant dream catchers, hanging from the ceiling like acrobats, and contributing to the show.

Last but not least came the performance from the man of the hour, Dirty South! Opening with his original track Walking Alone got the fans screaming, and the party did not stop at all during his fantastic 3 hour set. Dirty South dropped some of the hottest new tracks like Steve Angello & Third Party’s Lights as well as Discopolis’ Committed To Sparkle Motion (DubVision Remix), as well as some massive mash-ups like Miike Snow’s Silvia and Devil’s Work with Swedish House Mafia’s Greyhound, as well as Temper Trap’s Sweet Disposition with Skitzofrenix’s Rushin and Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso’s Calling with Dirty South’s own track Phazing. The night almost ended with the signature track City Of Dreams, but after Dirty South teasing us with his acapella of Sweet Disposition throughout the entire night, nothing gave us the chills more than him finishing his set with an amazing mash-up of the track with Midnight City by Eric Prydz – hands down our favorite track of the night.
