At Electric Zoo this weekend the newly upcoming producer/DJ who is rocking shows worldwide including Sensation, Electronic Daisy Carnival, and Tomorrowland and now Electric Zoo. His set is downloadable through House4DJ when he absolutely killed it! After his set he then decided to go on a rooftop and play a set with Armin Van Buuren for Sirius XM. We then got to ketch up with hardwell and ask him a few questions. Check it out

H4DJ: Hey Guys Chris Conte here at House4DJ.com I’m here with Hardwell in New York after he played last night at Electric Zoo, can you tell us what you thought of the event?

Hardwell: For me it was one of the best gig’s I have ever had. The energy of the crowd is so amazing and I enjoyed every second of my set and the atmosphere at electric zoo was one of the best I have ever seen in my life

H4DJ: Amazing to hear that coming from NY! Early this year you preformed at other festivals like Sensation, and EDC how did these compare to Electric Zoo?

Hardwell: Electric Zoo was a really good festival, I really loved the crowd in the states, I think you can’t compare any event to Sensation because it’s totaly different like an arena filled up with people dressed in white and the whole atmosphere and the whole show around it, it’s totally different then just a DJ gig. It’s more like a show and something you have to experience instead of playing just a set time for a hour or a hour and a half. Sensation is not an event built around DJ’s it is just Sensation, people buy it because it is sensation, they don’t even care about the lineup. So theres a difference between Sensation and other events like Electric Zoo. It’s a different concept I don’t know what to prefer. So different you know?

H4DJ: Sounds amazing! Wish they had a sensation event in the States! But some of the songs you play and made are collaborations like Move It To The Drum with Chuckie and Zero 76 with Tiesto can you tell us how you got started with these collaborations?

Hardwell: I known Chuckie for like 10 years now so we’ve been friends for a long time now, we did a lot of tours in Holland together, and yeah Move It To The Drum never really came up because we had so many tracks together and we just went in the studio and we had a plan to do a mix between his dirty dutch sound and my sound and we tried to blend those two genre’s in one track, and thats Move It To The Drum. And I met Tiesto about two years ago yeah and we both fell in love with each others styles, we played and Zero 76 was just a record that just came out because we were in the studio and we finished the record within a few hours, came real quick, and when we finished we didn’t even know we were in the studio so yeah. I’m really happy with Zero 76

H4DJ: Thats insane, a few hours! Do you have any idea’s for the future? Any other tracks ideas like how you based The World on Sensation

Hardwell: Well I have a follow up for The World, it’s called Cobra and it’s going to be released on my record Revealed Recordings in October, and I’m working on a new track with Tiesto at the moment. But yeah not as much collaborations more single stuff now, and yeah that’s what’s coming out.

H4DJ: Thanks for the update! But if you could put together a group like the Swedish House Mafia who would you pick to stand by you live and in the studio?

Hardwell: Deadmau5 and Laidback Luke

H4DJ:  Crazy combination! Any last words to say to your fans?

Hardwell: Well thanks for your all your support at Electric Zoo, Electronic Daisy Carnival, I love you guys in the states and I hope to see you guys soon. Keep up for updates on Twitter and Facebook!
