German producer Zedd, known for his electro house and gritty sounds, has given us a a huge remix of the Skrillex track Breakn’ A Sweat off of the album Bangarang. This huge collaboration between Skrillex and classic rock group The Doors gets the electro house feel put on it, and this huge track already being incorporated into Zedd’s set, such as with his recent show with Skrillex at Pacha NYC, has proven to drive the crowd wild. Breakn’ A Sweat is a featured track in the new movie RE:Generation, which takes different EDM producers such as Skrillex, Pretty Lights, and The Crystal Method, and has them work with other producers in the music industry that deal with rock & roll, country, and other genres on some giant collaborations. As part of the movie release, those from the production staff at RE:Generation are giving away the soundtrack (as well as the remixes like this one) for free! Having remixed Skrillex’s tracks before like Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites, it’s great hearing remixes like these from ZeddZedd’s original tracks are just as huge, like his most recent release Slam The Door, which has made it into Beatport’s Top 10 charts, as well as House4DJ’s own Top 10 Tracks of January 2012. Other recent original tracks by Zedd like Shave It and Stars Come Out have been big hits as well. This track has already been given out as a free download courtesy of the RE:Generation movie starring Skrillex, but will also be released off of Big Beat Records and Skrillex’s label Owsla on February 7!
