One could claim that leaving Pop icons like Elton John’s and Michael Jackson’s work alone seems like a good idea, but Pnau has given the challenge a shot, and the result is without a doubt pretty magnificent.

The classic and peaceful Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters originally made by Sir Elton John in 1974 has now revealed itself in a more electronic way of intriguing leads. The nostalgic ballad never really left the ground, but however the underrated record has now been touched within a collaboration of Elton John himself and the Australian duo Pnau.

It’s been “Pete Tong approved” on the weekly BBC Radio 1 show and is a true euphoric masterpiece when it comes to harmonic vocals and beautiful synth play.
