Avicii unveiled a promo mix including a lot of his country music album’s tracks !

Avicii new album

Last year for the 14th Ultra Music Festival edition, people talked a lot about the “Molly” controversy around Madonna and Cedric Gervais. This year, people targeted the Swedish Avicii pretexting he takes the wrong way to the country music with his forthcoming album. Whaaaaat ? Tim Bergling would leave electronic music for cowboy music ? That’s what people thought right after his live performance with a bunch of live musicians. Avicii reacted to people blaming him :

“In a 75 minute set, I brought a 15 minute different breakdown with live musicians to a festival with nonstop dance music for 3 days straight 2 weeks in a row . I really wanted to switch things up and do something fun and different, as I always strive for, and this album is about experimentation and about showing the endless possibilities of house and electronic music.”

Avicii seemed impacted by the crowd’s reactions and has been “trolling” with several publications on his Facebook fan page referring to country outfits. The Swedish guy continued by sharing a promo mix including a dozen of exclusive tracks probably with a view to silence critics.

Well done Tim! You were right by telling :

“My album is certainly not “country”, and people have gotten hung up on an instrument we used for the live cover of a song. Every song on the album is a fusion with house and electronic music.”

Once again, Avicii proves his amazing talent, even if the tracks have been made along with the biggest names in the music industry such as Nile Rogers, Mike Shinoda, and Mac Davis.
